Grand Summer Concerts at The Grand Del Mar

The Grand Del Mar luxury resort near the beautiful Los Peñasquitos Canyon Preserve in San Diego is bringing outstanding musical talent ranging from the folk rock tunes of Delta Rae to the Grammy Award-winning Steve Tyrell, during its second annual Summer Concerts at The Grand on July 14 to September 1 at 7 p.m. The dynamic series of Sunday night concerts will take center stage in the resort’s Grand Ballroom.

Summer Movie Classic for HOAG

Catch the classic film Casablanca tonight at Hoag Hospital Foundation’s 552 Club beloved annual summer event, now called the Summer Movie Classic at The Hangar in Costa Mesa at the Orange County Fairgrounds at 5 p.m. The event will feature tastings at 5 p.m. from more than 30 of Orange County’s finest restaurants followed of Casablanca at 7:30 p.m.

The event has raised more than $1 million for Hoag Hospital Newport Beach and Hoag Hospital Irvine.

For the 26th year of participating sample tastes from The Blue Water Grill & Oyster Bar, Ho Sum Bistro, Muldoon’s Irish Pub, Newport Landing, Harborside, Newport Rib Company, Picante Martin’s Mexican Restaurant, Royal Thai Cuisine, and Sabatino’s Sausage Company. Other restaurants participating include 24 Carrots, A Restaurant, Bear Flag Fish Co., Canaletto Ristorante Veneto, The Counter, Gabbi’s, Maggiano’s Little Italy, Onotria Wine Country Cuisine, Pitfire Artisan Pizza, Quattro Café South Coast Plaza, Red O, Roy’s Hawaiian Fusion Cuisine, Santa Monica Seafood, Straub Distributing, Turnip Rose Catering, Tamarind of London and Whimsical Italian Gelato. Tickets cost $125.
